Steel City School Photographer.

Welcome and thank you for visiting my School & Nursery photography page.

My name is Richard and I offer a fun & friendly school photography experience.

I have an enhanced CRB certificate and comply with GDPR regulation to ensure pupil safety at all times.

Below are a few recent pictures that you can view with permission from their parents.

How does it work.

  1. Visit to the school/Nursery to formally introduce myself and discuss how my service works, where the pictures will be taken and also when. I will also provide GDPR/Data sharing agreement for your records.
  2. Print individual & sibling QR codes for each Pupil in class order.
  3. School photography day. I will take between 3 & 5 pictures of each pupil plus Sibling pictures.
  4. Pupil will take the QR code home for their parents/carers to scan and enter their email address. Once the pictures are ready to view they will receive an email with a link to their child’s pictures.
  5. School will receive a file with an up to date picture of each pupil which can be uploaded to your school system.
  6. A wide variety of products for parents & carers to choose from inc print’s (both individual & multi packs), gifts ideas (key rings,  fridge magnets, mugs) & digital downloads.
  7. Free back to school postage for parents/carers to help keep the cost down.
  8. Commission paid to the school.

Parents & Carers with Siblings

To help parent & carers with siblings keep their costs to a minimum, our system allows them add all the security codes of each child together. This means they can purchase prints, gifts and digital downloads as one transaction.

Making it a fun experience for the Children...

Whilst it’s important to take lovely pictures for the school & parent/carers we also believe it should be a fun experience for the children. Before I take pictures of each class I always introduce myself to the class as a whole and explain what we’re doing. I also encourage them to think of a pose or their best silly face for the final picture. Whilst its not compulsory, most children love to do this and it also puts a smile on their parents face when they view the pictures. Below and with permission are a few examples.

Help & support...

Whilst technology can be a wonderful thing we appreciate that not everyone is confident with using new systems.

With that in mind we are available for parents & carers to either email or call us directly for help and support.

Teachers and staff working at the school...

School photography day is also a perfect opportunity to get up to date pictures of staff working at the school. I often take the pictures of the of the teacher before each class as this can help to relax some of the more nervous children. Other staff within the school can come and see me during breaks or at lunch when I’m not taking pictures of the children.
